Alberta Health Services told the Town of Peace River that there is no COVID-19 assessment centres in town.
According to its Facebook page, Peace River asked AHS about testing in the area.
AHS responded to the town and says, in its opinion, “Peace River’s community response for testing has not exceeded capabilities and there has been no need to activate a local Assessment Centre.”
The health organization says you should head to its website and take the self-assessment to see if it is necessary to call 811 for possible testing.
AHS adds it is ready to set up testing centers in various locations across the Northern Zone if needed.
