In October of 2019, Grande Prairie RCMP began an investigation into drug trafficking occurring out of a local Grande Prairie residence. A search warrant was executed on February 7th.
Police seized 1075 grams (over 1 kg) of Fentanyl, 407 grams of cocaine, 265 grams of methamphetamine, and an undisclosed amount of cash. The drugs were located throughout the residence in ‘secret stash’ locations, and were packaged in both bulk and street amounts.
60 year-old Paul Unrau and 32 year-old Andrea Napesis, both of Grande Prairie, have each been arrested for possession of Fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking, possession of Cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of Methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of proceeds of crime over $5000.
Unrau and Napesis are both to appear in Grande Prairie Provincial Court on February 26th.
