Trustee Carmelle Lizee has agreed to stand once again for Ward 1 – High Prairie. She had intended to retire, but with nobody coming forward prior to September 25, she said in a news release that she could not simply leave the seat vacant.

“My heart is in (St. Andrew’s School),” said Lizee. “I worked there for 33 years, and became a Trustee immediately after I retired. As well, my children and grandchildren have been educated there.”

But, Lizee adds that the 2017-21 term will definitely be her last on the board.

HFCRD thanked Lizee for agreeing to serve on the board again, adding that it shows her ongoing commitment to education.

Nominations for Ward 1 – High Prairie are now closed.
