The Slave Lake RCMP is investigating a multi-vehicle collision that cost a man his life. According to the detachment, a crash between a semi-tractor-trailer and a pickup truck happened in Smith close to the intersection of Highways 2 and 2A.
The incident occurred just past 7:00 on Saturday evening.
The 59-year-old pickup truck driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The 64-year-old driver of the semi-tractor-trailer suffered minor injuries.
The RCMP is currently investigating the cause of the collision and has not released the name of the deceased.
