Mighty Peace Football League’s Fall Season Continues

It’s been quite a busy fall season for the Mighty Peace Football League.

The Peace River Pioneers are currently 1-and-1, after winning 14-6 against the Sexsmith Vipers on September 8, 2017. But a week later, they fell to the St. Joseph Celtics out of Grande Prairie by a score of 43-19.

The Hillside School Cougars from Valleyview are 0-and-3 for the season. They’ve now lost 12-nothing to the Sexsmith Sabres on September 1, 33-24 to the Peace Wapiti Academy Titans on the 6th, and then got walloped 48-nothing to the Celtics on the 13th.

The High Prairie Renegades are also now at an 0-and-3 record, having lost 36-8 to the Charles Spencer Mavericks on September 1, 41-14 to the Whitecourt Cats on the 8th, and to the Titans on the 15th by a score of 46-nothing.

The Pioneers play their final road game on Friday, September 22. Kick-off against the Cats in Whitecourt will go at 4 PM. The team’s first home game of the season will take place on September 28, when they host the Cougars at 4 PM.

The Cougars, meanwhile, have a game on Thursday, September 21, when they head to Grande Prairie to play the Mavericks at Charles Spencer School.

The Renegades hope to do better on the 22nd, when they play host to the Warriors from Grande Prairie Composite.
