Northern Sunrise County Wildfire Update
The PWF038 Fire (CNRL area) continues to remain relatively stable. Wildland firefighters are patrolling the area and putting out hotspots to maintain the containment lines.
The SWF068 Fire (Harmon Valley/Reno area) has had minimal growth in our area. There has been fire activity further south closer to the Peavine Metis Settlement.
The fire guard that was established on Range Road 191 has held and Forestry had ground crews working overnight to wet down hot spots. Forestry will continue to monitor the fire area.
Our Protective Services department has been out in the areas that have been affected by the fires in the Harmon Valley/Reno area and have kept in contact with our residents. We have crews and sprinkler trailers on standby should they be required.
