The Peace River School Division will be losing one of its trustees. The board announced that Ward 1 Trustee, Christopher Schneider will be stepping down effective November 16th. According to the Local Authorities Election Act, whenever a trustee moves out of their ward, they must step down. Ward 1 includes the areas of: Red Earth Creek, Peace River and Nampa.
“The Board of Trustees greatly appreciates Christopher’s contributions and commitment he put forth in his role of Ward 1 trustee with the Peace River School Division. We wish him great success and continued well wishes for his future endeavors,” says Board Chair, Darren Kuester.
The board will talk about the ward 1 trusteeship at its next meeting on November 21st.
