Prospectors Crushed 56-16 By Wembley

It was a bad day for the Peace River Prospectors on Saturday, September 9, 2017.

They took a trip to Wembley to play against the Bulldogs. And the Prospectors got crushed, with the final score being 56-16.

Prospectors Head Coach Mark Owens told the Trending 55 Newsroom that the team handled the ball really well.

“But in the end, (the Bulldogs) had a couple of really big guys on the team,” said Owens. “They just ran all over us, and scored long, one-play touchdowns throughout the entire game.”

Peace River has the rest of the week to prepare for the next game. This one takes place at home on Glenmary Field this coming Saturday, when they play host to the High Prairie Outlaws.

“We are working on our tackling,” said Owens. “We also hope to increase the effectiveness with our defence as well.”

This Saturday’s game goes at 1 PM.
