The Rycroft Rage has taking their fourth title in seven years, and their second in three. They beat the Peace River Stampeders 11-1 last night. The win gives the Rage a series sweep of 3-nothing.

The Rage led 2-1 after the first inning, but then they scored four in the second, and never looked back.

Accepting the trophy for the team last night was Terence Bzowy and Neil Magill, the last two original players from when the team started 14 years ago. In a team statement on their Facebook page, both are set to retire from active play this year, but have agreed to be on call for those games where the team is short on players.

Gracious in defeat, Stamps General Manager Curtis Fortin praised the Rage in a social media statement, say their win was well-deserved.

He adds that he thanks all the fans who came out to support them this year, and all the players for putting out a good season, and for getting them to their second finals appearance in a row, despite losing some key players during the season.
