Valleyview RCMP finds over 30 grams of illicit drugs in a Sturgeon Lake home

On November 22nd, Valleyview RCMP worked in partnership with the RCMP Western Alberta Crime Reduction Unit and RCMP Police Dog Services, to search a home in Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation. They found over 30 grams of methamphetamine, 4-hydroxybutanoic acid (GHB) and cocaine along with numerous weapons, cellphones and Canadian money.

They have charged two people with the following offences:

22 year old, Tasunkawitkowin Movescamp-Mclean has been charged with, possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine and 4-hydroxybutanoic acid (GHB). As well as possession of cocaine and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and 2 counts of failing to comply with a probation order.

41 year old, Klaire Manichoose has been also been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine and 4-hydroxybutanoic acid (GHB). As well as charges for possessing cocaine and a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
