
Firefighters have made excellent progress on Wildfire burning in the Northwest.
The Slims Creek Fire, north of Manning has been downgraded to Being Held, at 20,200 hectares.
The Sousa Creek Fire, near Chateh, has also been downgraded to Being Held, at 50,600 hectares.
The Meander River Fire is under control at 650 hectares, while the Bison Lake fire, east of Manning is still Out of Control at 51,600 hectares.
The Red Earth east Complex is now down to 9 fires, 5 Out of Control, 3 Being Held, and 1 under control.
Evacuation Orders are still in place for Chipewyan Lake and Trout Lake.
EVAC Alerts are in place for Red Earth Creek and Loon Lake.
Hwy 686 between Red Earth Creek and Trout Lake remains closed at this time.
