Alberta Justice has announced that Brenon Gray has been sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole for 12 years following a 2022 murder in Cadotte Lake.

The conviction stems from the July 26 shooting death of 35-year-old Romeo Flett at a home on Cadotte Lake First Nation.

Flett was airlifted to an Edmonton hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Gray was arrested on September 26, 2022, in Little Buffalo.

The sentence was handed down in Peace River Court of King’s Bench.
