- Investigations are continuing into the fire that had departments busy on Friday afternoon.
Reports indicate it was a multi-vehicle blaze at the scrapcar yard near All Peace Transport, and Complete Repair Services, just east of the Peace River Airport. - Peavey Mart could be returning to the retail market in Alberta.
The Canadian Farm and ranch retail store, has announced they will be reopening stores in several locations, later in 2025. - The Alberta Government is investing $10 million dollars into the launching of new technologies, that will help treat Wastewater in Peace River.
The treatment is expected to turn wastewater and waste into clean energy. - The NWJHL began the pre-season over the weekend, with one game on Friday night. Sexsmith beat Beaverlodge 6-4.
Meanwhile, Training Camp are getting set to go in Peace River and La Crete, which happen this weekend, and the weekend after, respectively. - The Toronto Blue Jays begin a series tonight at home to Minnisota. Max Scherzer starts for the Jays against Joe Ryan.
- The Northwest Alberta Heatwave has begun, and expected to last throughout this week, and into this long weekend.
Highs are expected to be 30 degrees and higher in that timeframe, however, lows at night will be decent, being in the low teens.
