
The Northern Alberta Development Council has submitted a report to the Provincial Government, highlighting its role as an economic engine in Canada.
Topics like natural resources, agriculture, tourism and recreation, nuclear energy development and future opportunities for the Council, were discussed.
The Government has contributed $5 million dollars to strengthen Alberta’s northern communities and improve economic development, education, transportation, health and more.
The Council has six members that includes Terry Ungarian, the Reeve of the County of Northern Lights, Tony Shmyruk, Dean of Skilled Trades at Northwestern Polytechnic in Fairview, and Reva Jaycox, a councilor of the East Prairie Metis Settlement.
