Earlier today, at approximately 9:50 a.m., High Prairie RCMP responded to an armed robbery report in Grouard, Alberta.
The suspects, initially described as two males and one female, fled the scene and were later spotted near Driftpile, where they abandoned their vehicle and escaped on foot.
RCMP are currently conducting a search in the area of Highway 2 and Driftpile Beach Road.
Residents are advised to stay indoors, lock their doors, and avoid opening them to strangers.
Travelers are urged not to pick up hitchhikers in the vicinity. An update will be provided as more information becomes available.
