The 8th Annual Greenview Charity Clay Shoot, held on Thursday September 4,2025, at the Shot Shell Sporting Clay Range in Valleyview, Alberta, achieved a record-breaking year of community spirit and generosity.
With 130 participants and the dedicated support of sponsors, the event raised $70,000 for the five food banks serving Greenview residents.
This year’s event held special significance as it was dedicated to the memory of Colin Dixon, the beloved owner of Shot Shell Sporting Clay Range, who passed away in December 2024.
In honor of his legacy and commitment to the community, the Dixon family hosted the event one final time at the range Colin proudly built and supported.
“Colin was passionate about using this event to help families across Greenview,” said Greenview Council. “The outpouring of support from participants, sponsors, and volunteers this year is a true reflection of his impact.”
Over the past eight years, the Greenview Charity Clay Shoot has become a cornerstone community event, raising approximately $352,000 for Greenview’s food banks and non-profits.
This year’s milestone achievement highlights the power of collaboration between local businesses, volunteers, and residents.
The Municipal District of Greenview extends heartfelt thanks to the Dixon family and Shot Shell Sporting Clay Range for hosting this year’s fundraiser in memory of Colin Dixon.
Their generosity and dedication ensured the 8th Annual Greenview Charity Clay Shoot was a tremendous success and a meaningful tribute to Colin’s legacy of community support.
