Teacher Strike Averted?

stock-classroom-jpg

It appears that we may end up avoiding a potential teachers strike in Alberta.

According to a statement from Finance Minister Nate Horner, the Alberta Teachers’ Association and the Teachers’ Employer Bargaining Association have reached a tentative agreement that will be voted on in the coming days.

Horner adds that if the deal is ratified, it will quote “form the basis for labour stability in the province and will be a positive path forward for a successful school year for our kids.”

There aren’t any specifics on the deal as of yet, but Horner says the tentative agreement is strong on classroom investment.
