- Crews are cleaning up a fire that happened at the Cool Springs Trailer Park, near Peace River High School.
Firefighters were called out early this morning to battle the blaze, that apparently has damaged two homes. - Peace Regional Police are looking for a suspect in a case of fraud.
On Friday, a stolen Credit Card was reported to be later used at a business on Main Street downtown. - From the RCMP’s Weekly Wanted File, police are looking for Brian Bruce Auger.
His last known whereabouts was in Slave Lake, and is noted for activities in High Prairie, Loon Lake, Peerless lake, Red Earth Creek, Big Lakes County and Slave Lake. - High Level Mayor Crystal McAteer has received the 2025 Jim Carr Forest Community Champion Award.
The honour recognizes individuals who demonstrate outstanding commitment to supporting Canada’s forest sector and the families and communities that depend on it. - Berwyn Village Council is discussing further options to reduce speed in the limits.
Options include additional signage and replacing the bumps with speed humps, which are less costly. - Peace Country Co-op and Beyond the Heart Clubhouse in Peace River are celebrating success.
