
On September 25, 2025, the Alberta RCMP’s Western Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit pursued a known prolific offender with outstanding warrants near Fairview.
The suspect and a female passenger abandoned a stolen vehicle and fled on foot.
With assistance from Fairview RCMP and Police Dog Services, both individuals were apprehended.
A search revealed two firearms in the stolen vehicle.
Malcom Henry Testawits, 41, and Amy Lee Lacosse, 39, both of no fixed address, face multiple charges, including dangerous driving and firearm-related offences.
Testawits faces additional charges, such as assaulting a police officer.
Both were remanded into custody and are scheduled to appear in the Alberta Court of Justice in Fairview on September 29, 2025.
