  1. Fire crews continue with their investigations into an early morning fire at the old Belle Petroleum Centre in Peace River on Monday.
  2. Applications are being accepted by the Provincial Government for the Parent Payment Program.

  4. Advanced polls and Candidate sessions are happening throughout the week, in anticipation of Monday’s Election.
  5. The Alberta Prosperity Project is discussing the topic of soverignty with some town hall events in northwestern Alberta this week. (Mitch Sylvestre interview in separate story)
  6. 98% of the Peace region’s crop is in the Bin, staying well ahead of averages.
    Specifically, Dry Peas are done, Spring Wheat and Barley are both at 99%, Oats are at 97%, and Canola is at 96%.
  7. Four Canadian team are in action in the NHL tonight… Edmonton is at the Rangers, Vegas is in Calgary, Seattle is in Montreal, and Nashville is in Toronto.
  8. Game 2 of the NLCS goes tonight, the Dodgers are in Milwaukee. LA took the opening game. The Blue Jays play Game 3 in Seattle tomorrow.
  9. Lots of sunshine this week in the Northwest, and temps will rebound a little from the long weekend.
    Highs during the week will be around 10 degrees, with lows being below zero. Skies might turn 50 shades of gray on Sunday.
