On October 13, 2025, at approximately 3:45 a.m., Peace Regional RCMP discovered a building fire on 94 Street in downtown Peace River.
The RCMP promptly contacted the fire department and secured the scene.
The fire was extinguished after approximately 11 hours, but the building sustained extensive damage, and the roof remains unstable.
The RCMP have obtained footage suggesting the fire is suspicious; however, no suspects are visible.
They are appealing to the public for any additional footage from home security or dashcams near the area.
The investigation is ongoing, and the RCMP express gratitude to the community for their assistance.
