On January 7, 2026, Valleyview RCMP, acting on information from Grande Prairie Rural RCMP, recovered stolen property valued at approximately $300,000 from a location west of Sturgeon Lake, Alberta.
The recovered items included a front-end loader, picker, gooseneck flat deck trailer, side-by-side UTV, and various tools.
Two Grande Prairie residents, 41-old Jacob Bliid 44-year-old Johnathon Anderson, were arrested and charged with multiple counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
Bliid faces additional charges for failing to comply with a release order.
Both were remanded into custody, with court appearances scheduled for January 12 and 15, 2026.
