Energy Alberta is continuing with the consultation stage of the proposed Peace River Nuclear Power project.
A pop-up information session took place at J’s Java Domain downtown for people to gather more input and answer more questions, regarding the proposal.
Residents in the area are still asking more questions and gaining more knowledge.
Feedback so far has been mixed, but still more sessions are being scheduled.
These gatherings are having more take place before approval might be granted.
Katie McKinnon is the Director of Indigenous and Stakeholder Engagement with Energy Alberta.
She says these meetings are with a different approach, and Energy Alberta is working around everyone’s schedules with these sessions.
