Residents of Peace River and the surrounding region are being invited to take part in an upcoming in-person engagement session focused on nuclear energy.
The Government of Alberta, through its Nuclear Energy Engagement and Advisory Panel, is hosting the session in Peace River tonight (January 21), 6:30pm to 8:00pm at the Quality Hotel & Conference Centre in downtown, Peace River.
The event is part of a broader provincial effort to gather public input and encourage discussion around the potential role of nuclear energy in Alberta’s future.
According to information provided by the province, the session will give community members an opportunity to learn more about nuclear energy, ask questions, and share their perspectives directly with the advisory panel.
Officials say public feedback is an important part of understanding community views, concerns, and expectations as Alberta explores nuclear energy as part of its long-term energy strategy.
