Northland School Division is once again bringing students together through sport with the return of the Moose Cup Floor Hockey Challenge, set to take place tomorrow (Friday, January 23) at Gift Lake School.
The day-long event will begin with an opening ceremony at 9 am, followed by floor hockey games featuring students from Gift Lake School, Bishop Routhier School, Grouard Northland School and Hillview School.
The tournament will be divided into three age categories, including Kindergarten to Grade 3, Grades 4 to 6, and Grades 7 to 9, allowing students of all ages to participate in friendly competition.
Organizers say the Moose Cup is designed to promote physical activity, teamwork and positive connections among students from different communities. Throughout the day, the gym is expected to be filled with cheering, sportsmanship and a strong sense of community spirit.
Families and community members are encouraged to attend and support the students as they compete for the Moose Cup and celebrate a day focused on fun, fitness and friendship.
