Energy Alberta Hosting Nuclear Project Pop-Up in Grimshaw

Energy Alberta is continuing its community conversation Pop-Up events, with the next stop happening tomorrow (Wednesday, January 28) in Grimshaw at Norm’s Roadhouse and Diner. The informal, drop-in event runs from noon to 3 p.m. and offers residents an opportunity to learn more and ask questions about the proposed Peace River Nuclear Power Project.
Energy Alberta says these Pop-Up’s are designed to encourage open and transparent conversation as planning for the project continues; acknowledging that large-scale energy developments often raise a variety of questions from many people.
Community members are invited to meet directly with Energy Alberta representatives, ask questions, share their perspectives, or simply listen and gather information. Coffee and snacks will be provided.
Energy Alberta says hearing directly from residents is a key part of the planning process, helping ensure local voices remain at the centre of discussions surrounding the project.
This is the second Pop-Up event of this nature Energy Alberta is hosting in the Region, with the first one taking place earlier in January in Peace River.  More are reported to be planned in the future at other communities in the area.
