2026 NWJHL Playoff Preview

The NWJHL regular season is done, now it’s time for the playoffs.

All eight teams will be competing for the championship with the winner representing the league at the Junior B Provincials happening in April in Lloydminster.

The first round has 1 vs 4 and 2 vs 3 in each division in a best-of-five.

The La Crete Lumber Barons had the best record in the regular season at 36-3-1 for 73 points.

As for the rest of the North-South division, Beaverlodge and Grande Prairie finished tied for second with 45 points (Beaverlodge gets the tiebreaker with more regulation wins) while Sexsmith was at the bottom with 29 points.

In the East-West division, Fort St. John finished on top with 59 points, the North Peace Navigators had 45, Dawson Creek with 27 and Fairview had the leagues worst record at 5-33-2 for 12 points. The Flyer also ended the season with an ugly losing streak dropping 16 in a row.
