
Alberta’s government has appointed six new justices to the Alberta Court of Justice, aiming to enhance the efficiency and transparency of the’s legal system.
The appointees are Boyd Langford (High Level) in the Northern Region, Denis Lefebvre for Edmonton Criminal, Kristin Fahlman for Criminal, Travis Cunningham for the Edmonton Region, Elizabeth Iredale Calgary Family and Youth, and Jay Jan for Edmonton Family Youth.
Justice Minister Mickey Amery emphasized that these appointments will strengthen capacity and ensure timely access justice for Albertans.
Chief Justice James Hunter expressed confidence that the new justices’ skills and experience will bolster public trust in the justice system.
These appointments are part of the government’s ongoing efforts to improve access to justice across Alberta.
