The Peace River Art Club has received a major boost for the coming year. The club announced it’s been awarded a $16,900 operating grant from the Alberta Foundation for the Arts through its Volunteer-Based Arts Organizations program.
Club president Dianne Ireland says the funding is a significant investment in local, volunteer-driven creativity, helping the group maintain momentum and continue offering a welcoming space for artists in the community.
The grant will support the club’s 2025–26 operations, ensuring programs and activities remain accessible for residents.
The Alberta Foundation for the Arts says support like this helps sustain grassroots arts organizations across the province. The Peace River Art Club plans to use the funding to expand engagement and strengthen the local arts scene.
