A Grande Prairie man is heading to jail following a dangerous stolen vehicle incident in northern Alberta.
Alberta Justice says Tyler Wayne Roherty has been sentenced to a total of two years behind bars. Roherty pleaded guilty to several charges, including dangerous operation of a vehicle, possession of stolen property over $5,000, driving while prohibited, and breaching a probation order.
Peace Regional RCMP say the investigation began with a stolen vehicle in Peace River. Officers were able to track the السيارة using its GPS system, but say the driver was speeding and nearly collided with police vehicles.
The suspect was eventually located near Dixonville and tracked to a nearby field, where he was arrested.
