Town of Valleyview residents will be incurring an approximate 15% tax increase this year. The figure comes upon approval of the 2026 Operating Budget during the April 13 Council meeting.
To maintain current service levels, the Town notes it requires a tax levy of roughly $2.9 million.
A key factor behind the increase includes a 42% jump in RCMP funding. Dollars which are set by the province under the Police Service Agreement and outside of Council’s control.
