Peace Regional RCMP have a Simon Lake resident in custody on impaired driving charges.
On the May-long Friday, the 37 year-old man was reported to be heading back to Simon Lake, when he crossed the centre-line into oncoming traffic, causing many to hit the ditch.
Peace River Town Council discussed repairs to the entrance into Lower West Peace at a recent meeting.
As well, matters were discussed in a closed session, relating to the new location of the Peace Regional SPCA.
The Canadian Armed Forces are in Fort Vermilion this week for training purposes.
Those exercises are also happening in Peace River this week, as 6-10 personnel are in town conducting planning procedures.
The Hot tub at the Peace Regional Pool is finally back open after almost five years of repairs and renovations.
