The Town of Grimshaw has outlined more than $1.5 million in planned capital projects for 2026, with major investments focused on infrastructure, water services, recreation facilities, and parks improvements.

The largest project is an $800,000 paving project which includes full road dig out, curb work, and asphalt upgrades along 48A Street and 52 Street from 49 Avenue to 50 Avenue.

Water and sewer upgrades also make up a significant portion of the budget, including a $365,000 water pump booster project and $100,000 in water service replacements near 47 Street and 44 Avenue.

The budget also includes upgrades to recreation facilities including drainage improvements at the Mile Zero Regional Multiplex, a new pool boiler, and a barrier-free lift to improve accessibility at the pool.

The Town has also budgeted funding for landscaping for cemetery expansion, Kennedy Park development, red shale rock upgrades at parks, and improvements to the Veidt Community Park ball diamond.

Additional spending includes projector and security upgrades for shared spaces and a new continuous chlorine monitoring system for water services.
