A new program is giving young people in the Peace Region the chance to turn their business ideas into reality.
The Peace Region Future Founders program, organized by Community Futures Peace Country, is designed for older youth interested in entrepreneurship. Participants will learn the basics of starting and running a business while preparing to showcase their products or services at the Market during the Harvest Moon Festival in Grimshaw this September.
Sherry Crawford of Community Futures Peace Country says the program builds on the concept of Lemonade Day, but is aimed at older aspiring entrepreneurs.
Registration is now open, with organizers hoping to inspire the next generation of local business leaders.
Workshops run July 28, August 4 and August 11.
