The Government of Alberta is investing in long-term care in northern Alberta. This morning, alongside Minister Nathan Neudorf and Peace River MLA Dan Williams, officials announced a $23.4 million grant to the La Crete Municipal Nursing Association to expand Heimstaed Lodge in La Crete.
The expansion will help meet the growing demand for long-term care, ensuring more local seniors can receive the support they need close to home.
The funding reflects a commitment to caring for the generations who helped build the community and the province, while strengthening health care services for families across the region.
Community leaders are calling the investment a major milestone, saying the project will provide another generation of quality care for local residents.
