A 35-year-old Edmonton man is now in custody in Grande Prairie.
RCMP say after a two-and-a-half year investigation, Nicolas Richard Harris has been charged with First Degree Murder, Possession of a Restricted Firearm, Possession of a Restricted Firearm without Holding a Subsisting License, and Possession of a Restricted Firearm while prohibited from doing so.
The charges come after 28-year-old John William Rock, also of Edmonton, was shot dead outside of the Canadian Brew House in the Swan City on October 1, 2014.
Harris is set to make is first appearance in Grande Prairie Provincial Court on Monday, May 15, 2017 at 9 AM.
