Five people have been arrested in the Peace Country on drug-related charges.
The arrests come after three search warrants were executed in the Peace River and Fairview areas between July 5 and 7, 2017.
30-year-old David Sietsma and 32-year-old Nicole Sietsma, both of Fairview, each face four counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, as well as One Count of Possession of the Proceeds of Crime.
34-year-old Rebecca Lund of Peace River is facing two counts of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance, and three counts of Failing to Comply with Recognizance.
As well, 30-year-old David Neufeld of Peace River and 39-year-old Lana Kraberger of Grimshaw each face one count of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, while 24-year-old Christopher Valin of Grimshaw faces two counts of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance.

During their search, RCMP seized approximately 100 grams of cocaine, 108 grams of Marijuana, 7 grams of methamphetamine, and 22 grams of psilocybin mushrooms.
As well, more than $4,000 in cash was seized, as well as one firearm and drug paraphernalia.
ALERT Grande Prairie’s Inspector Dave Dubnyk said in a news release that drug trafficking is a challenge for communities of all sizes, not just the big cities.
“Dealers may think they’re flying under the radar outside urban centres,” said Insp. Dubnyk. “But ALERT and the RCMP are committed to working together to stop them, no matter where they’re operating.”
More charges could be coming to the suspects named these cases. As well, charges are still pending against five other people.
