Peace River firefighters braved the nasty weather on Friday night during their Rooftop Campout on the roof of Tim Hortons to raise awareness and money for Muscular Dystrophy Canada.
Peace River Volunteer Firefighter and Event Coordinator Sabbir Zahed confirmed today the Campout has raised $6,345.
Zahed notes this number is down from last year’s number of $6,600, but he says he’s still happy with the amount of funds and awareness raised. Every cent of the money donated is going to Muscular Dystrophy Canada.
While the firefighters didn’t hit their intended donation goal, Zahed adds we can expect another Rooftop Campout next year.
