The future of Peacefest was one of the main topics from last night’s Peace River Events Society AGM.
One of the society’s directors, Dana Blayone, shared a vision for a future event that would include the entire downtown core and multiple venues hosting music, games, family activities, and more.
The event would involve all the businesses for the weekend, hopefully getting the chamber of commerce on board, and it could be a great way to boost business while hosting a festival that showcases Peace River.
Ideas were also shared for other events throughout the year outside of a “Peacefest” type event.
Moving forward, meetings will be on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at the Emerald Room at Peace Valley Inns. New Members are always welcome.
