Pull-over on Highway 88 leads to multiple charges

Four people are facing multiple charges after being pulled over by the RCMP. According to the Red Earth Creek detachment, officers pulled over a vehicle for speeding on Highway 88 at around 9:30 p.m. on December 3. Police searched the vehicle and seized the following items: bear spray, a large knife, scale, prohibited firearms, knives, brass knuckles, ammunition, suspected cocaine, suspected methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and other weapons.

The four occupants were jointly charged with:

  • Careless use of a firearm (x3)
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose (x6)
  • Carrying a concealed weapon (x3)
  • Possession of a firearm without holding a license (x3)
  • Unauthorized possession in motor vehicle (x4)
  • Possession of a loaded prohibited firearm
  • Possession of a prohibited weapon with readily accessible ammunition (x2)
  • Possession of a firearm with the serial number removed (x3)
  • Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking

James Beaver, 22, of Slave Lake was also charged with:

  • Fail to comply with conditions of release (x12)
  • Possession of stolen property
  • Obstructing a peace officer

30-year-old Raymond Foss of Loon River First Nation was also charged with:

  • Fail to comply with conditions of release (x21)
  • Breach of Recognizance

Tricia Beaver, 44, of Slave Lake,  was also charged with possession of a controlled substance. Caitlynn Noskey, 25, of Loon River First Nation was also charged with failing to comply with conditions of release (x12).
