The Town of Fairview is another municipality to offer financial relief to its ratepayers. Fairview decided to waive the late fees for utility payments for four months.
Chief Administrative Officer, Darryl Greenhill tells the Trending 55 Newsroom that the temporary suspension of the penalties will be effective from March until June.
Greenhill also says that the deadline to pay property taxes will be extended to September 30.
The usual tax payment deadline in Fairview is June 30.
Like other jurisdictions in the region, the town encourages all residents and businesses to pay their bills as soon as possible, if they are able to.
