The High Prairie RCMP is investigating a shooting that happened on the Peavine Metis Settlement.
Police responded to a call of an injured male in the community on Saturday at around 6:30 PM.
The victim had what was believed to be a gunshot wound to his lower body and was flown to Edmonton via STARS with a non-life threatening injury.
The High Prairie detachment does not believe this was a random incident and is asking anyone with any information to call them at 780-723-3370.
At this time, the police have no information on the suspect.
