Peace River, Alta. – At 6:30 a.m., on Aug. 16, 2023, Peace Regional RCMP responded to a mischief at a residence in the area of 98 street, Peace River. The suspect was not initially located and surveillance was obtained.
At 8:30 a.m. on Aug. 16, 2023, Peace Regional RCMP responded to a report of a male who attempted to break into a residence in the area of 101 street, Peace River, and threatened the occupants.
As a result of the investigation, Darcey Lloyd Brett (35), a resident of Peace River was arrested and charged with:
- Uttering threats against a person (x2)
- Mischief under $5000
- Failure to comply with a release order
- Breaking and entering into a residence
- Assault
Darcey, who was at large on a release order, was brought before a justice of the peace where he was remanded into custody with a court date of Aug. 21, 2023, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Peace River.
As these matters are before the courts, no further updates or details surrounding the incident will be provided.
