Both the Peace River School Division and the Grande Prairie Catholic School Division are working together on a new joint-use facility in Fairview.
The Board of Trustees for the two divisions each passed a motion adding a new joint-use K-9 facility for GPCSD and K-6 facility for PRSD as a priority item on their capital plans.
The PRSD says in a statement the by ensuring both capital plans include similar priorities, the school divisions are demonstrating to Alberta Education a strong willingness to collaborate on the creation of the best-possible educational facility required to support all students in the Fairview area.
The board adds that this is part of a years-long process to have a new, permanent school structure constructed in Fairview.
