A man from Nampa is leading an effort to get an expansion team in the NPHL.
Jeff Campbell says this is a plan that he’s had for quite some time.
“I was part of the Bantam A Nampa Devils hockey team back in 1998 and we were pretty successful. It’s kinda bringing the team back to life except at a higher level. I’ve already been in touch with the arena manager and the town administrators, everyone’s on board already.”
Open Tryouts have been booked for March 22nd at the Nampa Complex for potential interested players.
Campbell says there are other things they’re looking to get.
“We don’t got coaching yet. We’re basically gonna keep booking ice time until we’ve got a full roster of players and the coaches are on board.”
Campbell says the team will be called the “Nampa Devils” and are projecting to join the league for the 2026-27 season.
