The “Les Petits Bourdons” Early Childhood Centre now meets an essential need for the Francophone community in the Smoky River region. In addition to the pre-kindergarten program, there is a quality childcare service that promotes the well-being of children while supporting the maintenance and strengthening of the Francophone language and culture. The “Les Petits Bourdons” Early Childhood Centre offers 16 daycare spaces and 14 pre-kindergarten spaces, welcoming children aged 3 to 5 who meet the admission criteria. Ms. Brigitte Kropielnicki, Executive Director of the CSNO, emphasizes the importance of this new resource for the community: “I am happy with the opening of this daycare. Thanks to the commitment of our parents and caregivers, we can offer preschoolers an enriching learning environment where they can grow, flourish and develop their Francophone identity from an early age. This is an important step for our Francophone community. » The CSNO remains committed to continuing its efforts to meet the educational needs of Francophone families in the region and to strengthen access to French-language services from early childhood. |
