- Big Lakes County has announced the Buffalo Bay Fire has been extinguished.
The Grass fire started last week, south of Grouard, that closed a section of Hwy 750 for a few hours. - A stay of proceedings is in place in a drug case in Fairview. The STAY against Brittany Salmond has been in place since mid-February.
The co-accused, Robert Allen have been withdrawn. Both were arrested in October of 2023, after a search of a Fairview home turned up various drugs. - The Impact Assessment Agency of Canada and the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission are asking for comments on the summary of the Initial Project Description, put forward by Energy Alberta.
