On September 7, 2025, at approximately 8:00 AM, Peace Regional RCMP responded a report of two males attempting to steal a vehicle from a driveway on 99 Street in Peace River.
Earlier that morning, around 7:53 AM, the suspects had broken a window to gain access to the vehicle but failed to start it and fled.
Later that day, they returned and attempted to boost the vehicle’s battery; however, they were again unsuccessful and left the scene.
RCMP obtained nearby footage and are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects.
Suspect Descriptions:
– Male One: Medium to light complexion, wearing a ballcap, bright green long-sleeve shirt, black joggers, and white and black shoes.
– Male Two: Medium to light complexion, wearing a backwards ballcap, light grey hoodie, white pants, and tan boots.
The investigation is ongoing, and RCMP express gratitude to community members for their assistance thus far.
Residents are reminded to keep vehicles locked, remove valuables, and be vigilant, especially as cooler months approach, which may lead to an increase in such crimes of opportunity.
