On October 26, 2025, Peace Regional RCMP responded to a tip regarding the whereabouts of 31-year-old Sarah Dawn Hewitt of Grimshaw.
Officers located Hewitt hiding on a property near Range Road 230 in Grimshaw.
She was arrested and charged with three counts of failing to comply with her release order, including removing her electronic monitoring device, and two outstanding warrants for similar offenses.
Hewitt appeared before a Justice of the Peace and was remanded into custody, with a court date set for November 3, 2025, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Peace River.
The Peace Regional RCMP is seeking public assistance in identifying any suspicious activity in the area.
