An Action-Packed Sequel
SISU: Road to Revenge picks up after the first movie, as our protagonist just wants to bring his home back with him. He dismantles everything and loads it into a truck and journeys home…not without complications.
I haven’t seen the first movie, but despite that, it was easy to get into this one, and I didn’t feel lost at all. The story kind of takes a back seat to the action, so if you get the basic plot points, you’ll have no problem following along.
Each major set piece of the movie is separated into a different act. with a title card preceding each one. I thought this was a fun way to do it, and it almost felt like the movie could have been a mini-series. Some scenes that stood out were when our protagonist redirected a plane that was heading straight for him by using some logs off his truck. Another standout was when he made a tank do a flip with a lot, and I mean a lot of explosives. Now that’s not to say that this movie doesn’t have some levity. There is one scene where our main character is fighting for his life, and they are in a kitchen. Grabbing anything he can to help, he reaches into the sink and tries to stab his attacker. When he realizes it doesn’t work, he realizes it was a spoon and goes back to the sink and actually grabs a knife this time.
Overall, there are a lot of good action scenes, and it can be a fun time if you’re looking for some cool fights and intense action. If you want to see more, check out the trailer below.
